I feel like going on a little rant right now. =p
Well, it's not so much a rant as it is simply pointing something out.
I've been seeing a commercial the last few days of an automatic soap dispenser that dispenses soap if you pass your hand in front of it. There's nothing wrong with the product. I actually think it's a nice little device, but it's what lies within the commemrcial. What I don't understand is they talk about there being millions of bacteria on a soap pump and this is why you should switch to this product. The thing is, the only reason I see for having to touch a soap pump is to WASH your hands. So the fact of there being bacteria on the pump is irrelevant because most soaps these days are promoted as being able to kill "99.9% of all bacteria." Now if you need to worry about the germs on the pump, then your product must not be that good, or you're using a "you must have this product to survive" approach to sell your soap dispenser. I guess I could make a vitamin pill and say if you don't take it your liver will turn to moosh or something and be able to sell it. I don't know, but I still thinks its odd to throw irrelevant facts into commercials. Oh well, that's commercialism. XD
